BA Psychology
Bachelor of Arts in Psychology is a 3 year regular programme offered under Bengaluru North University. The programme is designed to provide high-quality education to pursue a holistic career in Psychology. The field of study in Psychology creates insight onto the Cognitive and Personality characteristics that define Human Behaviour. Journalism covers a wide range of study areas such as news media, press, radio, television, and multimedia.
Eligibility Criteria:
A student securing 50% aggregate marks including languages in P.U.C / 10 +2 / Pre University equivalent course is eligible.
B.Sc. Computer Science
The BSc undergraduate program in Computer Science and Statistics offers a dynamic and interdisciplinary approach to the ever-evolving fields of computer science and statistics. It is a three years degree graduation course with specialisation in Computer Science. At first year, fundamentals of Mathematics, Statistics, Electronics and Computer Science are included in the syllabus. At the second year of graduation, the programming skills are further strengthened by adding the in-depth knowledge of all the subjects. At third year of this under graduation course, six theory papers of Computer Science in each semester and practical courses cover entire spectrum of topics necessary to build knowledge base required for Software Industry.
Bachelor of Social Work

BSW (Bachelor of Social Work) Overview
Bachelor of Social Work is a three-year undergraduate degree programme focusing on providing social services and bringing about social change, development and empowerment of individuals and families. Primarily focusing on the marginalised communities or those that are in dire need of help and support, a BSW degree will train and qualify students to provide social welfare services, promoting development, change and empowerment of the individuals involved.
A Bachelor of Social Work course will qualify students to even participate in legislative and policy-making processes, thus, furthering their cause for a better world. As a three-year programme, students will cover a range of subjects in BSW courses in India. BSW Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for the BSW (Bachelor of Social Work) course in India generally include the following:
Academic Qualification: Candidates should have completed 10+2 (or equivalent) from a recognised board or educational institution.
Educational Background: There is no specific stream requirement for BSW. Candidates from any stream (Science, Commerce, Arts/ Humanities) are generally eligible to apply.
Minimum Percentage: Candidates need to secure a minimum aggregate percentage 50% in their 10+2 examination.
Additional Requirements (if applicable): Additional eligibility criteria requirements. Candidates who have studied specific subjects like Sociology, Psychology, or Social Science in their 10+2 education.
Masters in Science in Counselling Psychology
The study of the mind, body and the human behaviour has been one of the intriguing experiences of the human kind. It has led to several discoveries of ways and means to help improve the mental health aspects of everyday living and in the better management of diseases and disorders. Masters in Science in Counselling Psychology is a two year program that is designed to integrate the development of the self and the professional.
The course curriculum includes theories of Counselling and Psychology, different modalities of Counselling like Individual and group counselling approaches, understanding of the different pathologies and treatment modes for the same. Focus is also on the exposure of candidates to both Quantitative and Qualitative research methodologies and the practicality of learning to use them. Candidates are also exposed to specializations like Marriage and Family Counselling, Work Place Counselling and Educational Counselling. The practical aspects of the curriculum allow candidates to work with clients both in the individual and group counselling modalities, under supervision and guidance from the trained faculties.
In GSC, candidates gain experience also through various other value added activities like seminars, workshops and certificate programs in other Mental Health, Counselling and Psychology related topics that will promote their professional growth. Priority and importance is given for the growth of the individual through personal therapy sessions that are made available exclusively for the candidates with experts in the field.

Mental Health and well-being are major aspects in life that have gained popularity more in the last two decades and even more so post the pandemic experience across the globe. Counselling services are paramount now given the different facets of life that is affected because of Mental Health issues of individuals. The sad reality is these issues do not stop with the individual. They impact the family and the community at large. Counselling being the need of the hour goes without saying. Candidates completing this course have multiple opportunities to apply their skill set in various settings like Schools, Hospitals, Colleges, Industrial/IT related work as well. They can contribute to any work force they join both at the individual and at the group level. The knowledge of the different research modalities is an added benefit.
Eligibility criteria
Candidates with the following credentials can apply for this course:
1. Those having complete at least one paper in Psychology in their BA/B.Sc courses
2. Those completed B.Sc Nursing, BSW, Diploma in Counselling Psychology and B.Ed can also apply for this course
3. Candidates should have an aggregate of 50% in the Under Graduation program
